In Fly South, this is the ultimate alpine test: follow the milky glacial rivers upstream, climb alongside the Tasman Glacier's crevassed ice, and bank around Aoraki itself as the rock changes from grey-blue schist to permanent snow. Watch for sudden weather - this is the tallest, most exposed corner of the whole map.
