Fly South / Aotearoa New Zealand

Dunedin / ŌTepoti

Ōtepoti Dunedin tumbles over green hills toward a handsome harbour, with Victorian streets and church spires tucked into its folds. The city gives way quickly to the long ridgeline of the Otago Peninsula and a coast that feels wild at the edges. It is a wonderfully textured place: streets, sea, slopes and weather all in the same glance.

About Dunedin / Ōtepoti

Home to New Zealand's oldest university and famously the steepest residential street in the world, Baldwin Street, Dunedin has a compact, hilly centre that reads clearly from above. The Otago Peninsula nearby hosts a royal albatross colony and yellow-eyed penguins, both rare enough to draw visitors from across the country. In Fly South, Dunedin makes a strong southern base: circle the harbour and the tight grid of the city, follow the peninsula out toward the open coast, then continue south along the coastline toward the Catlins.
