Stewart Island is one of the best places in the world to see kiwi in the wild, including in daylight, and the whole island is recognised as a dark sky sanctuary. From Oban, the mainland can feel remarkably far away. In Fly South, this is the start of a genuinely different flight: mostly forest and coastline, with small bays and long empty horizons stretching out toward the open Southern Ocean.
